Nevşehir Airport to Cappadocia Transfer

Nevşehir Kapadokya Airport (NAV) is the closest airport to the fairy chimneys. It lies near Gülşehir on the north-western edge of the region, about 40 km from Göreme, and mainly serves Turkish Airlines and Pegasus flights from Istanbul.
It is a small airport with a single terminal, so there is no queue at arrivals. Your driver stands at the exit with a name sign, and within 40 minutes you are at your hotel in Göreme, Uçhisar or Ürgüp.
Because the airport is in open countryside there are no taxis waiting on demand and no public bus into the towns. Booking a transfer before you land is the practical choice, especially for evening arrivals.

Avanos, known for its pottery workshops, is reached by a short detour north across the Kızılırmak river, and Ürgüp is a few minutes beyond Göreme on the eastern side.
On the way
- Uçhisar Castle, the natural rock citadel that marks the entrance to Göreme
- Pigeon Valley viewpoint, just off the road between Uçhisar and Göreme
- The Kızılırmak, Turkey's longest river, on the way to Avanos
- Early-morning balloon traffic over the Göreme valleys
Frequently asked questions
Which airport is closer to Göreme, Nevşehir or Kayseri?
Nevşehir Kapadokya Airport is about 40 km from Göreme (40 minutes by car). Kayseri Airport is about 75 km away (about one hour). Nevşehir has fewer flights, so compare schedules and prices; we serve both.
Is there a shuttle bus from Nevşehir Airport?
A few shuttle operators sell seats on selected flights, but they wait for all passengers and stop at several hotels. A private transfer departs the moment you walk out and drives directly to your hotel.
How long is the transfer to Ürgüp?
About 45 km and 50 minutes. Uçhisar is closest at roughly 35 minutes, Göreme about 40 minutes and Avanos about 35 minutes.
Do you meet us inside the terminal?
Yes. Your driver waits at the arrivals exit holding a sign with your name. If you cannot see them, call or message the WhatsApp number on your confirmation.
Can we book a return transfer to the airport?
Yes. Book both directions and we pick you up from your hotel with enough time for your departure flight, typically two hours before domestic flights.
Ready to book your transfer?
Send us your flight details on WhatsApp and we confirm your driver right away, or book online in two minutes.

Cappadocia to Pamukkale Transfer
Pamukkale's white travertine terraces and the ancient city of Hierapolis are the natural next stop after Cappadocia on a classic Turkey itinerary. The two are about 630 km apart, and there is no direct flight or train, so most visitors either take a long night bus or book a private transfer.
Cappadocia to Konya Transfer
Konya, the city of Rumi and the whirling dervishes, is the closest major city west of Cappadocia and a natural stop on the way to Pamukkale or the Mediterranean coast. The drive from Göreme is about 230 km and takes around 3 hours.
Ankara to Cappadocia Transfer
