Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a Cappadocia hot air balloon ride cost?
Our hot air balloon flights start from €150 per person for the standard balloon (about 28 passengers), €200 for the comfort balloon (about 20 passengers), and from €1,500 for a private balloon. Prices include hotel pickup and drop-off, a flight certificate, and a champagne celebration on landing.
What time do the balloon flights take place and how long do they last?
Balloon tours fly at sunrise, when the wind is calmest and the light over the fairy chimneys is best. You are picked up from your hotel roughly an hour before dawn; the flight itself lasts about 60 minutes, and the whole experience takes around 3–4 hours including transfers.
Is the Cappadocia balloon tour safe?
Yes. We work only with licensed, experienced balloon operators whose pilots are certified by Turkish civil aviation, and flights only take off when conditions are approved as safe by the authorities. Cappadocia is one of the world's most established and safest ballooning destinations.
What happens if my balloon flight is cancelled due to weather?
If a flight is cancelled for weather or safety reasons, you are offered a flight on the next available morning or a full refund. Flights are weather-dependent, so we recommend planning your balloon ride for your first morning in Cappadocia to allow a backup day.
When is the best time of year for a balloon ride in Cappadocia?
Balloons fly almost year-round, but the most stable weather and highest flight rates are in spring (April–June) and autumn (September–November). Summer mornings are also reliable; winter offers snow-dusted landscapes but more weather cancellations.
